service password-encryption

Use this command to enable password encryption. This is enabled by default. When password
encryption is enabled, the device displays passwords in the running config in encrypted form
instead of in plain text. Use the no parameter to stop the device from displaying newly-entered
passwords in encrypted form. This does not change the display of existing passwords.
