distance (ospf)

This command sets the administrative distance for OSPF routes based on the route type. Your
device uses this value to select between two or more routes to the same destination from two
different routing protocols. The route with the smallest administrative distance value is added
to the Forwarding Information Base (FIB). See
more information.
Use this command to set the distance for an entire category of OSPF routes, rather than the
specific routes that pass an access list.
Use the command distance <1-255>, with no other parameter, to set the same distance for all
OSPF route types.
The no form sets the administrative distance for all OSPF route types to the default of 110.

Description
The administrative distance value you are setting for the OSPF route
type, or for all OSPF route types.
Sets the distance for routes from other routing domains, learned by
redistribution.
Sets the distance for all routes from one area to another area.
Sets the distance for all routes within an area.
20 for inter-area routes
10 for intra-area routes
40 for external routes
