The meaning of the subinterface variables
depends on the configuration context. You can
configure Gigabit Ethernet interfaces with or
without VLANs.
VLANs:
subinterface1—Number of the VLAN
subinterface in the range 1–2147483647;
no more than 4096 VLAN subinterfaces
per Gigabit Ethernet physical port
subinterface2—When using PPPoE, the
number of the PPPoE subinterface in the
range 1–2147483647; no more than 8000
PPPoE subinterfaces per Gigabit Ethernet
line module
No VLANs:
subinterface1—When using PPPoE, the
number of the PPPoE subinterface in the
range 1–2147483647; no more than 8000
