Command Reference Guide
destination
Use the destination command to specify the destination host name and port for the probe object. Use the
no form of this command to remove the setting. Variations of this command include:
destination <hostname>
destination <hostname> port <number>
destination <ip address>
destination <ip address> port <number>
The probe is not operational until a destination is defined.

Default Values
By default, there is no setting for this command.

Usage Examples
The following example specifies www.adtran.com as the host and port 21 File Transfer Protocol (FTP) as
the destination for probe1:
(config)#probe probe1 http-request
(config-probe-probe1)#destination www.adtran.com port 21

Specifies the IP host by name.
Specifies a valid IP address. IP addresses should be expressed in dotted
decimal notation (for example, 10.10.10.1).
Optional. Specifies port number. This feature is not used with icmp-echo
probes. The valid range is 1 to 65535.
