REFITTING THE ELECTRIC COOLANT
PUMP OF THE EXHAUST GAS COOLER
I - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit:
- the electric coolant pump to its mounting,
- the electric coolant pump clips,
- the « electric coolant pump - electric coolant pump
support » assembly.
a Fit the pre-postheating unit.
a Refit the pre-postheating unit.
a Position the wiring of the electric coolant pump and
of the pre-postheating unit.
a Clip on the wiring of the pre-postheating unit.
a Connect:
- the electric coolant pump connector,
- the cooling hose at the electric coolant pump inlet.
a Fit the cooling hose clip at the electric coolant pump
inlet using the tool (Mot. 1448).
a Connect the cooling hose at the electric coolant
pump outlet.
a Fit the cooling hose clip at the electric coolant pump
outlet using the tool (Mot. 1448).
a Remove the tools (Ms. 583) from the electric coolant
pump inlet and outlet cooling hoses.
II - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit:
- the front left-hand wheel arch liner (see Front
wheel arch liner: Removal - Refitting) (55A, Ex-
terior protection),
- the front left-hand wheel (see Wheel: Removal -
Refitting) (35A, Wheels and tyres),
- the engine undertray.
a Connect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refit-
ting) (80A, Battery).
a Bleed the cooling system (see Cooling system:
Bleed) .
