a Remove:
- the bolts (12) from the lifting eye at the timing end,
- the lifting eye on the timing end,
- the air inlet metal tube,
- the air inlet metal tube seals,
- the damper valve (see 12A, Fuel mixture, Damp-
er valve: Removal - Refitting, page 12A-39) .

a Fit the tools (Ms. 583) (13) on each cooling pipe of
the exhaust gas cooler.
a Use the tool (Mot. 1448) to separate the clips (14)
on the cooling pipes of the exhaust gas cooler.
a Disconnect the cooling pipes from the exhaust gas
cooler.
