Alternator pulley: Removal - Refitting

a Fit:
- the socket of the tool (Mot. 1732) on the alternator
pulley,
- the « end piece and end piece holder » assembly
of the tool (Mot. 1832) on the socket,
a Hold the alternator pulley in position using a 15 mm
wrench (9) .
a Pivot the ratchet (10) anti-clockwise.
a Torque tighten the alternator pulley (80 N.m).
a Remove:
- the « end piece and end piece holder » assembly
of the tool (Mot. 1832),
- the socket of the tool (Mot. 1732).
a Turn the alternator pulley by hand to check that the
rotor turns easily.
a Refit the alternator pulley cover.

a Refit:
- the alternator (see 16A, Starting - Charging, Al-

- the accessories belt (see 11A, Top and front of
engine, Accessories belt: Removal - Refitting,
page 11A-13) ,
- the right-hand suspended engine mounting (see
19D, Engine mounting, Right-hand suspended
engine mounting: Removal - Refitting, page
19D-51) ,
STARTING - CHARGING

- the lower engine tie-bars (see 1 9 D, Engine
mounting, Lower engine tie-bar: Removal - Re-
fitting, page 19D-85) .
- the front right-hand wheel arch liner (see Front
wheel arch liner: Removal - Refitting) (55A, Ex-
terior protection),
- the front right-hand wheel (see Wheel: Removal -
Refitting) (35A, Wheels and tyres),
- the engine undertray.
a Connect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refit-
ting) (80A, Battery).
