Gearbox oil cooler: Removal - Refitting

a Remove:
- the automatic transmission oil cooler bolts (7) ,
- the oil cooler and its pipes,
- the automatic transmission oil cooler seal.
a Remove the clips (8) from the automatic transmis-
sion oil cooler hoses using the (Mot. 1448).
a Disconnect the automatic transmission oil cooler
hoses.
a Remove the automatic transmission oil cooler pipes.

REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATIONS OPERATION
a Clean the joint faces with SURFACE CLEANER
(see Vehicle: Parts and consumables for the re-
pair) (MR 415, 04B, Consumables - Products).
a Always replace the automatic transmission oil cooler
seal.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Connect the automatic transmission oil cooler cool-
ing hoses.
a Refit:
- the automatic transmission oil cooler cooling hose
clips using the (Mot. 1448),
- the new automatic transmission oil cooler seal.
- the oil cooler and its pipes,
- the automatic transmission oil cooler bolts,
a Torque tighten the automatic transmission oil
cooler bolts (4 Nm).
a Refit the automatic transmission oil cooler pipe
bolts.
a Tighten the automatic transmission oil cooler pipe
bolts.
III - FINAL OPERATION.
a Connecting the automatic transmission oil cooler
pipe hoses.
a Refit the automatic transmission oil cooler pipe clips
using the (Mot. 1448).
a Remove the (Ms. 583) from the gearbox oil cooler
pipe hoses.
a Refit:
- the main automatic transmission connector mount-
ing,
- the main automatic transmission connector mount-
ing bolts.
a Torque tighten the main automatic transmission
connector mounting bolts (6 Nm).
a Connect the main automatic transmission connec-
tor.
a Clip the main automatic transmission connector onto
its mounting.
