Connecting hose: Removal - Refitting
M9R, and 800 or 802 or 805 or 806 or 809 or 816 or 845 or 849
a If replacing the connecting hose, on the workbench
refit on the new hose:
- the upstream take-off pipe of the particle filter pres-
sure sensor (see 19B, Exhaust, Particle filter
pressure sensor: Removal - Refitting, page
19B-103) ,
- the particle filter upstream temperature sensor (see
19B, Exhaust, Particle filter temperature sen-
sors: Removal - Refitting, page 19B-111) .
a Use GREY ABRASIVE PADS (see Vehicle: Parts
and consumables for the repair) (04B, Consuma-
bles - Products) to clean the bearing faces:
- the connecting hose and the catalytic pre-convert-
er,
- the connecting hose and the particle filter.
a Next, degrease these bearing faces using SUR-
FACE CLEANER (see Vehicle: Parts and con-
sumables for the repair) (04B, Consumables -
Products) and clean cloths.
I - FOR VEHICLES PRODUCED BEFORE 02/04/2008
a Refit:
- partially the connecting hose, fitted with a new seal,
on the catalytic pre-converter,
- the particle filter (see 19B, Exhaust, Particle fil-
ter: Removal - Refitting, page 19B-71) equipped
with a new seal, on the connecting hose.
II - FOR VEHICLES PRODUCED FROM 02/04/2008
a On the workbench, refit the connecting hose on the
particle filter, fitted with a new seal on the particle fil-
ter.
a Torque tighten the connecting hose nuts on the
particle filter (21 N.m).
a Refit the particle filter (see 19B, Exhaust, Particle
filter: Removal - Refitting, page 19B-71) fitted with
a new seal, on the catalytic pre-converter.
III - FOR ALL TYPES OF FITTINGS
a Check for leaks and contact with the underbody (see
19B, Exhaust, Exhaust: Precautions for the re-
pair, page 19B-18) .
a Lower the vehicle on the lift.
