I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
Cleaning parts
a
WARNING
It is strictly forbidden to clean the injectors with:
- a wire brush,
- an emery cloth,
- an ultrasonic cleaner.
a Always clean the well of the removed injector (see
Injector well cleaning tool: Use) (Technical Note
6040, 13B, Diesel injection).
a If reusing the removed injector:
- clean the injector using a cloth soaked in product
nettoyant injecteur or nettoyant frein,
- if necessary, leave the injector nozzle to soak in the
product nettoyant injecteur,
- wipe the injector with a new wipe,

13B, Diesel injection, Diesel injection: Precau-
tions for the repair, page 13B-1) .
a Always replace:
- the heat protection washer,
- the intercooler air inlet pipe seal.

a Remove the intercooler air inlet pipe seal on the tur-
bocharger side using a tweezers.
a Fit a new seal to the intercooler air inlet pipe on the
turbocharger side.
Note:
Position the lip of the seal (5) towards the inside
of the intercooler air inlet pipe.
