Exhaust fuel injector cooler: Removal - Refitting

a Separate the clips (4) on the cooling hoses of the ex-
haust fuel injector cooler using the tool (Mot. 1448).
a Disconnect the cooling hoses from the exhaust fuel
injector cooler.
a Remove:
- the nuts (5) of the exhaust fuel injector cooler,
- the exhaust fuel injector cooler,
- the seal on the exhaust fuel injector cooler.
In the event of replacement
a Remove:
- the exhaust fuel injector bracket bolt,
- the exhaust fuel injector bracket,
- the exhaust fuel injector,
- the exhaust fuel injector seal.
a parts always to be replaced: Exhaust fuel injec-
tor seal (10,08,02,14).
a Refit:
- a new seal on the exhaust fuel injector,
- the exhaust fuel injector,
- the exhaust fuel injector clamp.
a Torque tighten the exhaust fuel injector bracket
bolt (21 N.m).
EXHAUST
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a Always replace the seal on the exhaust fuel injector
cooler.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit:
- a new seal for the exhaust fuel injector cooler,
- the exhaust fuel injector cooler.
a Torque tighten the nuts of the exhaust fuel injec-
tor cooler (21 N.m).
a Connect the cooling hoses to the exhaust fuel injec-

tor cooler.
a Fit the clips on the cooling hoses of the exhaust fuel
injector cooler.
a Remove the tools (Ms. 583) from the cooling hoses
of the exhaust fuel injector cooler.
a Fit the fuel supply union of the exhaust fuel injector.
a Remove the blanking plugs.
a Connect:
- the fuel supply union to the exhaust fuel injector,
- the exhaust fuel injector connector.
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit:
- the lower engine tie-bars (see 1 9 D, Engine
- the engine undertray.
a Bleed the cooling system (see 19A, Cooling, Cool-
ing system: Draining - Refilling, page 19A-16) .
a Apply the sealing checking procedure for the ex-
haust injector fuel supply system (see 19B, E x -
haust, Exhaust fuel injector: Removal - Refitting,
page 19B-121) .
