High pressure pipe between rails: Removal - Refitting

II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Undo:
- the nut (11) of the high pressure pipe between the
rails on the back row rail using the tool (Mot. 1566),
- the nut (12) of the high pressure pipe between the
rails on the front row rail using the tool (Mot. 1566).
a Mark the position of the rubber pads between the
high pressure pipe and the rocker covers.
a Remove the bolts (10) from the high pressure pipe
between the rails.

a Remove the high pressure pipe between the rails.
a Insert the blanking plugs.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a parts always to be replaced: High pressure pipe
between rails (11,05,03,05).
WARNING
Before fitting a new high pressure pipe, lightly
lubricate the nut threads with the oil from the
applicator provided in the new parts kit.
Be careful not to allow oil into the high pressure
pipe.
Do not lubricate high pressure pipes supplied
without an applicator, as these high pressure
pipes are self-lubricating.
WARNING
Do not remove the blanking plugs from each
component until the last moment.
Also, do not remove the components from their
packaging until they are to be fitted to the vehi-
cle.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Remove the blanking plugs.
a Fit a high pressure pipe between the new rails.
a Position:
- the olive of the high pressure pipe between the rails
on the front row rail,
- the olive of the high pressure pipe between the rails
on the back row rail,
- the rubber pads correctly between the high pres-
sure pipe and the rocker covers.
a Fit the high pressure pipe nuts between the rails
without tightening them.
a Tighten to torque:
- the nut of the high pressure pipe between the
rails on the front row rail (30 N.m) using the tool
(Mot. 1566),
- the nut of the high pressure pipe between the
rails on the back row rail (30 N.m) using the tool
(Mot. 1566).
