Exhaust: List and location of components
(1) Silencer
(2) Connecting hose of the exhaust
pipe
(3) Cutting zone between the con-
necting hose and the intermedi-
ate pipe (from 02/04/2008),

Note:
From 02/04/2008, the exhaust pipe is no longer a
single unit from the connecting hose to the clamp
connection with the silencer.
A cutting zone on the exhaust pipe between the
connecting hose and the intermediate pipe is provi-
ded so that:
- there is no need to remove the silencer in order to
work on the remainder of the exhaust pipe,
- the repair procedure is facilitated by minimizing
contacts with the underbody.
The Parts Department supplies:
- if replacing only the intermediate pipe: an intermedi-
ate pipe to be cut for adaptation to the body,
- if replacing the connecting hose: a connecting hose
and an intermediate pipe assembled together, to be
cut in the cutting zone before refitting on the vehicle
and to be assembled using an exhaust sleeve (see
19B, Exhaust, Exhaust: Precautions for the repair,
page 19B-18) .
