Exhaust gas recirculation solenoid valve: Removal - Refitting
M9R, and 754 or 800 or 802 or 803 or 805 or 806 or 808 or 809 or 816 or 845 or 849
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit:
- the new seals on the exhaust gas recirculation so-
lenoid valve,
- the exhaust gas recirculation solenoid valve,
- the bolts to the exhaust gas recirculation solenoid
valve.
a Tighten the exhaust gas recirculation solenoid valve
bolts.
a Connect the exhaust gas recirculation solenoid
valve connector.
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Fit:
- the new exhaust gas cooler outlet rigid pipe,
- the exhaust gas cooler outlet rigid pipe bolts.
a Tighten the bolts of the exhaust gas cooler outlet rig-
id pipe.
a Rotate the intercooler air inlet pipe clips to the
locked position.
a Connect the intercooler air inlet pipe to the turbo-
charger and the intercooler.
Note:
Push the pipe union until the pin can be heard
engaging in the neck.
Gently pull the pipe union to check that the pin is
properly engaged in the neck.
a Refit:
- the engine undertray,
- the engine undertray bolts,
- the bolts on the intercooler air inlet pipe.
a Tighten the intercooler air inlet pipe bolts.
a Fit the cooling radiator top hose to the intercooler air
inlet pipe.
a Tighten the cooling radiator top hose nut on the in-
tercooler air inlet pipe.
a Refit:
- the damper valve (see 12A, Fuel mixture, Damp-
er valve: Removal - Refitting, page 12A-39) ,
- the engine cover.
ANTIPOLLUTION

a Apply the after repair procedure using the Diagnos-
tic tool :
- connect the Diagnostic tool,
- select the « injection computer » ,
- go to repair mode,
- display the « before/after repair procedure » for the
computer selected,
- select « EGR valve » in the « List of components
controlled by this computer » section,
- carry out the operations described in the « After re-
pair procedure » section.
