Particle filter pressure sensor: Removal - Refitting

Note:
Use an open-jawed spanner to hold the adapter
union in place and prevent it from loosening. Any
loosened adapter union must be replaced.
a Remove:
- the particle filter upstream pressure measurement
connection (2) from its adapter union,
- the particle filter pressure sensor with its two pipes.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATIONS OPERATION
a
WARNING
Never separate the pressure measurement pipes
from the particle filter pressure sensor.
Replace the « sensor - pipes - end piece »
assembly, if necessary, supplied as a unit by the
Parts Department.
a Always replace the particle filter pressure measure-
ment connection adapter unions if they have been
loosened.
a Refit a new particle filter upstream pressure mea-
surement connection adapter union if the adapter
union has been loosened.
EXHAUST
a Torque tighten the particle filter upstream pres-
sure measurement connection adapter union (44
Nm) if it has been replaced.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Coat the particle filter upstream pressure measure-
ment connection screw union with COPPER-ALU-
MINIUM LUBRICANT (see Vehicle: Parts and
consumables for the repair) (MR 415, 04B, Con-
sumables - Products).
1 - With adapter replacement

a Refit the particle filter upstream pressure measure-
ment connection on its screw adapter to the exhaust
pipe, with the rigid section at an angle (3) of +3˚ in
relation to the exhaust pipe.
a Torque tighten the particle filter upstream pres-
sure measurement connection (21 Nm).
a Clip the particle filter downstream temperature sen-
sor onto the particle filter downstream pressure
measurement connection, respecting the colour
coding on the wiring.
