Fuel tank: Removal - Refitting
K9K or M9R or V9X
4-WHEEL STEERING
a Ensure:
- the position of the four wheel drive actuator (28) ,
- the routing of the wiring (29) ,
- the position of the actuator (30) linkage on the com-
pensator,
- the position, head down, of the actuator bolts (31) .
a Refit:
- the four wheel drive actuator starting with the link-
TANK
age on the rear axle side and then on the compen-
sator side,
- new nuts on the four wheel drive actuator.
a Clip the wiring strap.
a Attach the actuator wiring on the fuel tank.
a Connect the connectors.
a Refit the earth strap.
a Tighten to torque:
- the four wheel drive actuator's new nuts (84
N.m),
- the earth strap nut (8 N.m).
a Refit the ball joint protector.
a Torque tighten the fuel tank bolts (21 N.m).
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Remove the component support.

a Connect the fuel tank filler neck hose to the fuel
tank.
a Refit a new clip on the fuel tank end of the « filler
neck - fuel tank » connecting hose.

a Fit the protective sheath on the battery disconnec-
tion unit supply wiring
a Clip the brake pipes onto their support
a Refit the nut of the supply wiring protective sheath
on the battery disconnection unit.
a Refit the protective sheath bolt on the battery dis-
connection unit supply wiring.

a Clip the rigid brake pipes onto their support.
a Refit:
- the brake pipe mounting nut,
- the heat shield,
- the underbody protectors.
