sor connector on the exhaust heat shield.
a Connect the particle filter downstream temperature
sensor connector.
a Fit the exhaust heat shield.
a Refit:
- a clip on the exhaust heat shield,
- a new adapter union of the particle filter down-
stream temperature sensor when replacing the
particle filter or if the adapter union was loosened.
a Torque tighten the adapter union of the particle fil-
ter downstream temperature sensor (44 N.m) (if
equipped).
a Coat the threaded union of the particle filter down-
stream temperature sensor with COPPER-ALUMIN-
IUM LUBRICANT
consumables for the repair) (04B, Consumables -
Products).
a Refit the particle filter downstream temperature sen-
sor (if equipped).
Note:
Use an open-jawed spanner to keep the adapter
unions in place and do not loosen them. Any
adapter union that is loosened must be replaced.

pressure measurement line (21 N.m).
a Refit:
- the silencer (see 19B, Exhaust, Silencer: Remov-
al - Refitting, page 19B-64) (for vehicles produced
before 02/04/2008),
