Diesel injector: Removal - Refitting

- the high pressure pipes between the rail and the in-
jectors (see 13B, Diesel injection, High pressure
pipe between rail and injector: Removal - Refit-
ting, page 13B-161) .
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Lift up the clips (7) between the fuel return rail and
the injectors using a flat-blade screwdriver.
a Disconnect the injector fuel return rail.
a Move aside the fuel return rail.
a Insert the blanking plugs.

a Disconnect the injector connectors (2) .
a Mark the injectors in relation to the cylinders using a
indelible pencil.
a Remove:
- the injector clamp bolts (4) ,
- the injector clamps,
- the injectors.
Note:
If the injectors are seized, remove the injectors
using the tool (Mot. 921-01) and the tool (Emb.
880).
a Remove the heat protection washers.
Note:
If the heat protection washer is stuck at the bot-
tom of the well, use the (Mot. 1817) (see Injec-
tor well cleaning tool: Use) (Technical Note
6040A, 13B, Diesel injection).
