Exhaust gas recirculation solenoid valve: Removal - Refitting

- the exhaust gas cooler nuts on the turbocharger,
- the exhaust gas cooler bolts on the back row rocker
cover.
a Torque tighten the exhaust gas recirculation sole-
noid valve bolts (10 N.m) (23) .
a Connect the cooling hose to the exhaust gas recircu-
lation solenoid valve.
a Fit the cooling hose clip on the exhaust gas recircu-
lation solenoid valve using the tool (Mot. 1448).
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Connect the exhaust gas cooler hose.
a Fit the clip on the exhaust gas cooler hose using the
tool (Mot. 1448).
a Connect:
- the exhaust gas cooler control diaphragm vacuum
pipe,
- the fuel drain pipe on the back row,
- the heater matrix hose union,
- the exhaust gas cooler hose union.
a Tighten to torque:
- the new catalytic pre-converter nuts on the tur-
bocharger (21 N.m),
- the turbocharger heat shield studs, if they were
loosened during removal (13 N.m).
a Refit the turbocharger heat shield.

a Fit the exhaust fuel injector cooler rigid cooling pipes
on:
- the catalytic pre-converter,
- the turbocharger.
a Refit:
- the exhaust fuel injector cooler rigid cooling pipes
on the catalytic pre-converter,
- the catalytic pre-converter upper stay.
a Fit the nut of the catalytic pre-converter upper stay
without tightening it.
a Refit the catalytic pre-converter lower stay.
a Fit the lower stay nuts on the upper stay without
tightening them.
a Torque tighten the studs of the catalytic pre-con-
verter stay on the cylinder block and on the gear-
box (8 N.m).
a Fit without tightening:
- the nuts of the lower stay on the cylinder block and
on the gearbox,
- the lower stay nuts on the catalytic pre-converter.
a Tighten to torque:
- the catalytic pre-converter upper stay nut21
(N.m),
- the lower stay nuts on the upper stay (21 N.m),
- the lower stay nuts on the cylinder block and on
the gearbox (21 N.m),
- the lower stay nuts on the catalytic pre-convert-
er (21 N.m).
a Clip the crankshaft position sensor wiring onto the
catalytic pre-converter stay.
a Refit the rigid cooling pipe nut on the turbocharger.
a Torque tighten the turbocharger heat shield nuts
(8 N.m).
a Connect the turbocharger cooling hose.
a Fit the turbocharger cooling hose clip using the tool
(Mot. 1448).
a Refit:
- the exhaust gas recirculation rigid pipe (see 14A,
Antipollution, Exhaust gas recirculation rigid
pipe: Removal - Refitting, page 14A-62) ,
- the right-hand suspended engine mounting (see
19D, Engine mounting, Right-hand suspended
engine mounting: Removal - Refitting, page
19D-51) ,
