High pressure pipe between rail and injector: Removal - Refitting

II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Using the tool (Mot. 1566) or (Mot. 1746), undo:
- the nuts on the high pressure pipes between the in-
jector rail and the injectors on the injector side,
- the nuts on the high pressure pipes between the in-
jector rail and the injectors on the injector rail side.
Note:
Loosen the nuts pipe by pipe.
a Remove the high pressure pipes (3) between the in-
jector rail and the injectors one by one.
a Fit blanking plugs into openings.

BETWEEN THE INJECTOR RAIL AND THE
INJECTORS ON THE BACK ROW
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a parts always to be replaced: High pressure pipe
between the rail and injector (11,05,03,01).
WARNING
Before fitting a new high pressure pipe, lightly
lubricate the nut threads with the oil from the
applicator provided in the new parts kit.
Be careful not to allow oil into the high pressure
pipe.
Do not lubricate high pressure pipes supplied
without an applicator, as these high pressure
pipes are self-lubricating.
WARNING
Do not remove the blanking plugs from each
component until the last moment.
Also, do not remove the components from their
packaging until they are to be fitted to the vehi-
cle.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Remove the blanking plugs.
a Fit the new high pressure pipes between the injector
rail and the injectors.
a Position:
- the high pressure pipe olives between the injector
rail and the injectors in the injector rail tapers,
- the high pressure pipe olives between the injector
rail and the injectors in the injector tapers.
a Fit the nuts of the high pressure pipes between the
injector rail and the injectors without tightening,
starting with the nuts on the injector rail side.
a Torque tighten using the tool (Mot. 1746) or (Mot.
1566) :
- the nuts on the high pressure pipes between
the injector rail and the injectors on the injector
rail side (30 N.m),
- the nuts on the high pressure pipes between
the injector rail and the injectors on the injector
side (30 N.m).
