REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (02A, Lifting equipment).
a Disconnect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Re-
fitting) (80A, Battery).
a Remove:
- the engine cover,
- the engine undertray bolts,
- the engine undertray,
- the front right-hand wheel (see Wheel: Removal -
Refitting) (35A, Wheels and tyres),
- the front right-hand wheel arch liner (see Front
wheel arch liner: Removal - Refitting) (55A, Ex-
terior protection),
- the lower engine tie-bars (see 1 9 D, Engine
mounting, Lower engine tie-bar: Removal - Re-
fitting, page 19D-85) ,
- the right-hand suspended engine mounting (see
19D, Engine mounting, Right-hand suspended
engine mounting: Removal - Refitting, page
19D-51) ,
- the accessories belt (see 11A, Top and front of
engine, Accessories belt: Removal - Refitting,
page 11A-13) .
STARTING - CHARGING

a Unclip the wiring (1) from the air conditioning com-
pressor.
a Move the wiring away from the air conditioning com-
pressor.
a Remove:
- the air conditioning compressor bolts (2) ,
- the air conditioning compressor wiring support (3) .
a Move the air conditioning compressor aside.
a Attach the air conditioning compressor to the body
using a safety strap(s).
