REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (02A, Lifting equipment).
a Remove:
- the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refitting)
(80A, Battery),
- the battery tray (see Battery tray: Removal - Re-
fitting) (80A, Battery),
- the front left-hand wheel (see Wheel: Removal -
Refitting) (35A, Wheels and tyres),
- the front left-hand wheel arch liner (see Front
wheel arch liner: Removal - Refitting) (55A, Ex-
terior protection),
- the engine undertray bolts,
- the engine undertray.
a Drain:
- the automatic gearbox (see 23A, Automatic gear-
box, Automatic gearbox oil: Draining - Filling,
page 23A-29) ,
- the cooling system (see Cooling system: Drain-
ing - Refilling) (19A, Cooling).
AUTOMATIC GEARBOX
8 Nm

a Remove the clips (1) on the automatic gearbox oil
cooler hoses using the tool (Mot. 1448).
a Disconnect the oil cooler hoses (2) from the auto-
matic gearbox.
a Loosen the clip (3) of the intercooler air inlet pipe at
the intercooler intermediate air inlet pipe.
