First step for removing the fuel return rail unions
from the diesel injectors

WARNING
Ensure that the clip is not completely removed
from its housing otherwise it may be damaged
when the diesel return union is removed.
Note:
Any clip completely disengaged from a diesel
injector that has not been removed must be
replaced: to do this, the diesel injector concerned
must be removed (see 13B, Diesel injection,
Diesel injector: Removal - Refitting, page 13B-
229) .
a Use a fine, flat-blade screwdriver to push the lower
brackets (12) on the injector fuel return union clips
towards the rocker cover to unlock them and posi-
tion them fully up against the rocker cover.
