Exhaust gas cooler: Removal - Refitting
K9K, and 782
a Connect the cooling pipe between the exhaust gas
cooler and the exhaust gas recirculation solenoid
valve.
a Refit a new clip on the cooling pipe between the ex-
haust gas cooler and the exhaust gas recirculation
solenoid valve.
a Fit the exhaust gas recirculation assembly onto the
cylinder head.
a Tighten:
- the exhaust gas recirculation assembly bolts,
- the exhaust gas cooler mounting bolts at the gear-
box end on the exhaust gas cooler,
- the exhaust gas cooler mounting bolts at the timing
end on the exhaust gas cooler.
a Remove:
- the exhaust gas recirculation assembly bolts,
- the exhaust gas recirculation assembly.
a On the workbench, torque tighten:
- the exhaust gas cooler mounting bolts at the
gearbox end on the exhaust gas cooler (12
N.m),
- the exhaust gas cooler mounting bolts at the
timing end on the exhaust gas cooler (12 N.m).
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit:
- the exhaust gas recirculation assembly (see 14A,
Antipollution, Exhaust gas recirculation as-
sembly: Removal - Refitting, page 14A-52) ,
- the damper valve (see 12A, Fuel mixture, Damp-
er valve: Removal - Refitting, page 12A-39) ,
- the exhaust gas pressure sensor (see 19B, Ex-
haust, Exhaust gas pressure sensor: Removal -
Refitting, page 19B-93) ,
- the exhaust gas recirculation rigid pipe (see 14A,
Antipollution, Exhaust gas recirculation rigid
pipe: Removal - Refitting, page 14A-62) ,
- the exhaust gases duct at the turbocharger outlet
(see Turbocharger outlet exhaust gas duct: Re-
moval - Refitting) ,
- the engine undertray,
- the exhaust fuel injector cooler (see 19B, Exhaust,
Exhaust fuel injector cooler: Removal - Refit-
ting, page 19B-125) .
a Connect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refit-
ting) (80A, Battery).
