II - TEST OPERATION
a
Note:
Do not leave any object (tools or other) on the
side of the engine housing during the entire oper-
ation.
Position the tools so that they do not fall during
the « engine running » phase of the test.
a Connect a self-contained starter.
a Force the vehicle's + after ignition feed.
a Connect the Diagnostic tool.
a Run commands:
- RZ009 Program vehicle functions,
- VP036 Inhibit fuel supply.
a Run the starter for 15 seconds.
a Check that the injector return volume is equal to or
above 20 ml.
a Repeat the starting phase twice, allowing an interval
of 30 seconds between each starting phase.
a Run command VP037 "Stop fuel supply inhibition".
a Disconnect the self-contained starter.
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Undo the intercooler air outlet pipe clip on the damp-
er valve.
a Disconnect the intercooler outlet air pipe from the
damper valve.
a Move the intercooler outlet air pipe away from the
damper valve.
a Disconnect:
- the damper valve connector,
- the camshaft position sensor connector.
a Pull the intercooler air inlet pipe clip.
a Disconnect the intercooler air inlet pipe from the tur-
bocharger.
a Move the intercooler inlet air pipe to one side.
a Remove:
- the dipstick,
- the dipstick well bolts.
a Move the dipstick well to one side.
a Disconnect the four transparent pipes from the (Mot.
1771).
DIESEL INJECTION
Injector leak flow: Check
a Push the injector diesel return union clips towards
the front of the vehicle to place them into their origi-
nal positions.
a Remove the blanking plugs from the injector diesel
return openings and discard them.
a Lubricate the injector diesel return unions with SILI-
CONE FREE LUBRICANT (see Vehicle: Parts
and consumables for the repair) (MR 415, 04B,
Consumables - Products) until the seals are com-
pletely covered.
a Position the injector diesel return unions in front of
the injector diesel return openings, starting with in-
jector number 4 (16) .
a Clip the injector diesel return unions on the injectors,
starting with injector number 4.
Note:
Check that the diesel return unions are properly
fitted.
a Fit the dipstick well.
a Refit the dipstick well bolts.
a Tighten the dipstick well bolts.
a Refit:
- the dipstick,
- the injector rail protector cover,
- the injector rail protector cover nut,
- the injector rail protector cover bolt.
