Oxygen sensors: Removal - Refitting

a Torque tighten the back row upstream oxygen
sensor on the exhaust manifold (50 N.m).
II - FINAL OPERATION
1 - Front row oxygen sensors
a Clip the front row downstream oxygen sensor con-
nector to its mounting.
a Connect the downstream oxygen sensor connector
on the front row.
a Clip the front row upstream oxygen sensor connec-
tor to its mounting.
a Connect the front row upstream oxygen sensor con-
nector.
a Fit:
- a new clip on the oxygen sensor wiring,
- the alternator wiring.
a Torque tighten the alternator positive terminal nut
(15 N.m).
2 - Back row oxygen sensors
a Clip the back row upstream oxygen sensor connec-
tor to its mounting.
a Connect the back row upstream oxygen sensor con-
nector.
a Clip the back row downstream oxygen sensor con-
nector to its mounting.
a Connect the back row downstream oxygen sensor
connector.
a Refit the intake distributor (see 12A, Fuel mixture,
Inlet distributor: Removal - Refitting, page 12A-
75) .
3 - Front and back row oxygen sensors
a Refit:
- the engine undertray,
- the engine cover.
a Connect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refit-
ting) (80A, Battery).
