Alternator: Removal - Refitting

M9R, and 800 or 802 or 805 or 806 or 808 or 809
or 816 or 845 or 849
a Refit the power-assisted steering pump (see Power-
assisted steering pump: Removal - Refitting)
(36B, Power-assisted steering).
a Refit:
- the accessories belt (see 11A, Top and front of
engine, Accessories belt: Removal - Refitting,
page 11A-13) ,
- the front right-hand wheel arch liner (see Front
wheel arch liner: Removal - Refitting) (55A, Ex-
terior protection),
- the front right-hand wheel (see Wheel: Removal -
Refitting) (35A, Wheels and tyres).
a Push down on the new intercooler air outlet pipe clip
at the intercooler end.
a Refit the intercooler air outlet pipe.
a Connect the intercooler air outlet pipe to the inter-
cooler until it clicks into place.
a Gently pull the pipe to check that the union is locked.
a Refit the engine undertray.
a Connect the intercooler air outlet pipe at the damper
valve end.
Note:
Align the marks on the air pipe and air inlet flap.
a Torque tighten the intercooler air outlet pipe clip
at the damper valve end (5.5 N.m).
M9R, and 742 or 744 or 746 or 748 or 754
a Move aside the turbocharging pressure sensor.
a Connect the turbocharger pressure sensor connec-
tor.
a Connect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refit-
ting) (80A, Battery).
a Refit the engine cover.
