REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (02A, Lifting equipment).
a Disconnect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Re-
fitting) (80A, Battery).
a Remove:
- the engine cover,
- the engine undertray bolts,
- the engine undertray.
a Undo the clips on the air outlet pipe of the air filter
unit.
a Disconnect the vacuum pipe from the brake servo.
a Remove the clip from the oil vapour rebreathing pipe
using the tool (Mot. 1448).

a Disconnect the oil vapour rebreathing pipe.
a Remove:
- the air outlet pipe to the air filter unit,
- the air filter unit (see 12A, Fuel mixture, Air filter
unit: Removal - Refitting, page 12A-13) ,
- the battery disconnection unit (see Battery dis-
connection unit: Removal - Refitting) (80A, Bat-
tery).
a Remove the mountings (1) of the wiring protective
sheath on the automatic transmission.
a Move aside the wiring protective sheath on the auto-
matic gearbox.
