Catalytic pre-converter: Removal - Refitting

a Remove the turbocharger heat shield.
WARNING
T o prevent the surrounding components from
overheating, do not damage (tear, pierce, bend,
etc.) a heat shield.
Any damaged heat shields must be replaced.
a Remove the catalytic pre-converter nuts (11) .
a Move aside the catalytic pre-converter.
a Remove the catalytic pre-converter seal.
EXHAUST
a Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector
(12) .
a Move the crankshaft position sensor wiring to one
side.

a Remove the nuts (13) of the exhaust fuel injector
cooler.
a Move aside the exhaust fuel injector cooler.
a Remove the seal from the exhaust fuel injector cool-
er.
