Exhaust fuel injector cooler: Removal - Refitting

- the exhaust fuel injector cooler,
- the seal on the exhaust fuel injector cooler.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a Always replace the seal on the exhaust fuel injector
cooler.
a Use GREY ABRASIVE PADS (see Vehicle: Parts
and consumables for the repair) (04B, Consuma-
bles - Products) to clean the joint faces:
- of the exhaust fuel injector cooler if it is to be re-
used,
- of the turbocharger outlet exhaust gas duct.
a Use SURFACE CLEANER (see Vehicle: Parts
and consumables for the repair) (04B, Consuma-
bles - Products) and CLEAN CLOTHS to clean and
degrease the joint faces:
- of the exhaust fuel injector cooler if it is to be re-
used,
- of the turbocharger outlet exhaust gas duct.
When replacing the exhaust fuel injector cooler:
a Remove the exhaust fuel injector (see 19B, Ex-
haust, Exhaust fuel injector: Removal - Refitting,
page 19B-121) from the old exhaust fuel injector
cooler.
a Refit the exhaust fuel injector (see 19B, Exhaust,
Exhaust fuel injector: Removal - Refitting, page
19B-121) on the new exhaust fuel injector cooler.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit:
- a new seal for the exhaust fuel injector cooler,
- the exhaust fuel injector cooler.
a Torque tighten the nuts of the exhaust fuel injec-
tor cooler (25 N.m).
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Remove the blanking plugs.
a Connect:
- the fuel supply pipe union of the exhaust fuel injec-
tor,
- the exhaust fuel injector connector.
EXHAUST
a Refit the air filter unit air outlet pipe.
a Clip the air flowmeter wiring onto the air filter unit air
outlet pipe.
