Injector rail: Removal - Refitting

a Remove the intercooler air inlet pipe seal on the tur-
bocharger side using a tweezers.
a
Note:
Check that the intercooler air inlet pipe on the
turbocharger side is fitted the right way round.
a Fit a new seal to the intercooler air inlet pipe on the
turbocharger side.

II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit:
- the injector rail seal,
- the injector rail,
- the injector rail bolts.
a Fit the engine harness mounting and the engine har-
ness.
a Refit the engine harness mounting bolts on the cylin-
der head.
a Connect:
- the rail pressure sensor connector,
- the rail pressure regulator connector,
- the heater plug connectors.
III - FINAL OPERATION.
a Refit:
- the EGR solenoid valve (see 14A, Antipollution,
Exhaust gas recirculation solenoid valve: Re-
moval - Refitting, page 14A-11) ,
- the damper valve (see 12A, Fuel mixture, Damp-
er valve: Removal - Refitting, page 12A-39) ,
- the fuel return pipe (see 13B, Diesel injection,
Diesel return pipe: Removal - Refitting, page
13B-98) ,
- the high pressure pipe between the pump and the
rail (see 13B, Diesel injection, High pressure
pipe between pump and rail: Removal - Refit-
ting, page 13B-140) ,
- the high pressure pipes between the rail and the in-
jectors (see 13B, Diesel injection, High pressure
pipe between rail and injector: Removal - Refit-
ting, page 13B-161) ,
- the oil decanter (see 11A, Top and front of en-
gine, Oil decanter: Removal - Refitting, page
11A-307) .
a Refit the injector rail protector (see 13B, Diesel in-
jection, Injector rail protector: Removal - Refit-
ting, page 13B-126) .
Note:
Check that the intercooler air inlet pipe is cor-
rectly clipped onto the turbocharger.
a Connect the intercooler air inlet pipe to the turbo-
charger.
