REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (02A, Lifting equipment).
a Disconnect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Re-
fitting) (80A, Battery).
a Remove:
- the engine cover,
EXHAUST
- the engine undertray bolts,
- the engine undertray,
- the front wheels (see Wheel: Removal - Refitting)
- the front wheel arch liners (see Front wheel arch
- the front bumper (see Front bumper: Removal -
a Drain the cooling system (see 19A, Cooling, Cool-

a Move aside the clip (1) of the turbocharger cooling
hose using the (Mot. 1448).
a Disconnect the turbocharger cooling hose.
a Remove:
- the nut (2) on the turbocharger rigid cooling pipe,
- the turbocharger heat shield nuts (3) .
a Loosen the turbocharger heat shield nut (4) .
a Remove the lower engine tie-bars (see 19D, Engine
mounting, Lower engine tie-bar: Removal - Refit-
ting, page 19D-85) .

Note:
Apply SUPER RELEASING AGENT (see Vehi-
cle: Parts and consumables for the repair)

charger studs to prevent the studs from breaking
when the nuts are undone.
