REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (02A, Lifting equipment).
a Disconnect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Re-
fitting) (80A, Battery).
a Remove:
- the engine cover,
- the engine undertray bolts,
- the engine undertray,
- the air filter unit (see Air filter unit: Removal - Re-
fitting) (12A, Fuel mixture),
- the front wheels (see Wheel: Removal - Refitting)
(35A, Wheels and tyres),
- the front wheel arch liners (see Front wheel arch
liner: Removal - Refitting) (55A, Exterior protec-
tion),
- the front bumper (see Front bumper: Removal -
Refitting) (55A, Exterior protection).
a Drain:
- the cooling system (see Cooling system: Drain-
ing - Refilling) (19A, Cooling).
- the gearbox (see 23A, Automatic gearbox, Auto-
matic gearbox oil: Draining - Filling, page 23A-
29) .
AUTOMATIC GEARBOX
7 N.m
8 Nm
a Remove:
- the max fuse box cover,
- the bolt (1) from the support for the max fuse box.
a Remove the clip (2) from the max fuse box.
a Unclip the max fuse box from its support.
a Remove the max fuse box support.
a Move the max fuse box to one side.
a Remove the coolant pipe outlet unit (see Water
chamber: Removal - Refitting) (19A, Cooling).
