Particle filter: Removal - Refitting

a Remove the particle filter bolt (7) on the rubber
mounting bush.
a Fit a component jack under the particle filter.
a Cut the exhaust pipe (see 19B, Exhaust, Exhaust:
Precautions for the repair, page 19B-18)
a Remove:
- particle filter.
- the seal between the connecting hose and the cat-
alytic pre-converter,

In the event of replacement

- the connecting hose nuts (8) ,
- the connecting hose,
- the seal between the flexible pipe and the particle

Note:
Apply SUPER RELEASING AGENT (see Vehi-
cle: Parts and consumables for the repair)
(04B, Consumables - Products) on the studs
between the connecting hose and the particle fil-
ter to avoid breaking the studs while loosening
the nuts.
