Hydraulic distributor internal wiring: Removal - Refitting
F4R, and AJ0
- the temperature sensor retaining plate,
- the earth,
- the wiring.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a Clean the joint faces using SURFACE CLEANER
(see Vehicle: Parts and consumables for the re-
pair) (04B, Consumables - Products) on the auto-
matic gearbox and on the hydraulic distributor
housing, taking care not to damage the contact sur-
faces.
a Always replace:
- the hydraulic distributor housing seal,
- the intercooler air inlet pipe seal.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit:
- the wiring,
- the earth terminal,
- the temperature sensor retaining plate.
Note:
The earth terminal (10) should be positioned
between the distributor and the temperature sen-
sor retaining plate so that the earth terminal does
not break when the bolt is tightened.
a Torque tighten the internal wiring earth bolts and
the temperature sensor retaining bolt (8 N.m) (9)
and (10) .
a Connect:
- the connectors for the solenoid valves,
- the connector to the external wiring,
- the pressure sensor connectors.
a Push back the internal wiring retaining clips.
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit:
- a new seal on the hydraulic distributor housing,
- the hydraulic distributor housing.
a Torque tighten the hydraulic distributor housing
bolts (8 Nm).
AUTOMATIC GEARBOX
a Remove the air inlet pipe seal of the intercooler us-
ing a tweezers.
a
Note:
Check that the intercooler air inlet pipe seal is fit-
ted in its groove the right way round.
a Refit a new seal to the intercooler air inlet pipe at the
intercooler
a Refit the intercooler air inlet pipe.
a Connect the automatic gearbox oil cooler hoses.
