High pressure pipe between rail and injector: Removal - Refitting

- a new intercooler air inlet pipe seal.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
1 - Refitting four high pressure pipes between the
injector rail and the injector:
a Undo the injector rail nuts (27) .
a Remove the blanking plugs from:
- the injector rail openings,
- the injector openings.
a Refit the high pressure pipes between the new injec-
tor rail and the injector.
a Fit without tightening the high pressure pipe nuts be-
tween the rail and the injector by hand.
a Torque tighten:
- the nuts on the high pressure pipes between
the rail and the injector on the injector rail side
(28 N.m) using the tool (Mot. 1746),
- the nuts on the high pressure pipes between
the rail and the injector on the diesel injector
side (28 N.m) using the tool (Mot. 1566),
- the injector rail nuts (28 N.m).
a Refit the injector rail protector.
a Torque tighten the injector rail protector nuts (21
N.m).
a Fit the diesel injection wiring.
a Refit the nut of the diesel injection wiring.
a Clip on the diesel injection wiring.
a Connect:
- the connector for the fuel flow regulation solenoid
valve,

- the connector for the fuel pressure regulation sole-
noid valve,
- the diesel temperature sensor connector.
- the heater plug connectors,
- the connectors of the diesel injectors.
a Clip on the diesel injector wiring.
a Remove the blanking plugs from:
- the opening of the union of the exhaust fuel injector
solenoid valve supply pipe,
- the opening of the exhaust fuel injector solenoid
valve.
a Connect the union of the exhaust fuel injector sole-
noid valve supply pipe.
a Clip the alternator wiring onto the injector rail protec-
tor.
a Clip the diesel drain pipe onto the injector rail protec-
tor.
a Connect the injector rail pressure sensor connector.
a Fit the dipstick guide tube.
a Torque tighten the dipstick guide bolts (8 N.m).
a Refit the dipstick.
2 - Refitting one, two or three high pressure pipes
between the injector rail and the injector:
a Remove the blanking plugs from:
- the injector rail opening(s),
- the opening(s) of the injector(s).
a Refit the high pressure pipe(s) between the new in-
jector rail and injectors.
a Fit without tightening the high pressure pipe nuts be-
tween the rail and the injector by hand.
a Torque tighten:
- the nut(s) of the high pressure pipe(s) between
the rail and the injector on the injector rail side
(28 N.m) using the tool (Mot. 1746),
- the nut(s) of the high pressure pipe(s) between
the rail and the injector on the diesel injector
side (28 N.m) using the tool (Mot. 1566).
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit the injector rail protector cover.
a Clip on the damper valve wiring.
a Fit the clip for the intercooler air outlet pipe.
