Alternator: Removal - Refitting

REFITTING
I - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit:
- the alternator,
- the lower shaft of the alternator.
a Tighten to torque and in order:
- the alternator nut (83 N.m),
- the alternator upper bolt (28 N.m).
a Connect the alternator connector.
a Fit the positive terminal on the alternator.
a Refit the positive terminal nut on the alternator.
a Torque tighten the positive terminal nut on the al-
ternator (15 N.m).
II - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit the oil-water heat exchanger rigid inlet pipe.
a Fit the clip for the oil-water heat exchanger rigid inlet
pipe on the oil-water heat exchanger using the tool
(Mot. 1448).
a Remove the tool (Ms. 583) between the oil-water
heat exchanger rigid inlet pipe.
a Remove the safety strap(s).
a Fit the air conditioning compressor.
STARTING - CHARGING

a Fit the air conditioning compressor bolts without
tightening them.
a Tighten to torque and in order:
- the bolts of the air conditioning compressor (55
N.m) (1) and (2) ,
- the bolts of the air conditioning compressor (61
N.m) (3) and (4) .
a Refit:
- the accessories belt (see 11A, Top and front of
engine, Accessories belt: Removal - Refitting,
page 11A-13) ,
