Catalytic converter: Removal - Refitting
M9R, and 742 or 744 or 746
a Remove:
- the connecting hose nuts (3) on the catalytic con-
verter,
- the catalytic converter studs using a roller-type
stud removal tool,
- the seal between the connecting hose and the cat-
alytic converter,
- the engine tie-bar (see 19D, Engine mounting,
Lower engine tie-bar: Removal - Refitting, page
19D-85) .
a Move aside the connecting hose to facilitate removal
of the catalytic converter.

II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART

a Remove:
- the bolt (4) from the catalytic converter strut,
- the strut nuts (5) on the catalytic converter,
- the strut nuts (6) on the cylinder block,
- the catalytic converter strut.
a Remove:
- the catalytic converter half-clip bolts (7) ,
- the catalytic converter half-clips (8) .
