Connecting hose: Removal - Refitting
M9R, and 800 or 802 or 805 or 806 or 809 or 816 or 845 or 849
Tightening torquesm
connecting hose nuts on
the particle filter
IMPORTANT
To avoid all risk of damage to the systems, apply
the safety and cleanliness instructions and opera-
tion recommendations before carrying out any
repair:
- (see 19B, Exhaust, Exhaust: Precautions for
the repair, page 19B-18) ,
- (see Vehicle: Precautions for the repair) (01D,
Mechanical introduction).
REMOVAL
a Position the vehicle on a lift (see Vehicle: Towing
and lifting) (02A, Lifting equipment).
I - FOR VEHICLES PRODUCED BEFORE 02/04/2008
a Remove:
- the particle filter (see 19B, Exhaust, Particle fil-
ter: Removal - Refitting, page 19B-71) ,
- the connecting hose,
- the connecting hose seal on the catalytic pre-con-
verter, then discard it,
- the connecting hose seal on the particle filter, then
discard it.
II - FOR VEHICLES PRODUCED FROM 02/04/2008
a Cut the exhaust pipe (see 19B, Exhaust, Exhaust:
Precautions for the repair, page 19B-18) between
the particle filter and the intermediate pipe, in the
designated cutting zone (see 19B, Exhaust, Ex-
haust: List and location of components, page
19B-1) .
a Remove the particle filter (see 19B, Exhaust, Parti-
cle filter: Removal - Refitting, page 19B-71) .
EXHAUST
21 N.m
a Remove:
- the nuts (1) from the connecting hose on the parti-
- the connecting hose,
- the connecting hose seal on the catalytic pre-con-
- the connecting hose seal on the particle filter, then
III - FOR ALL TYPES OF FITTINGS
a If replacing the connecting hose, on the workbench
remove from the connecting hose:
- the upstream take-off pipe of the particle filter pres-
- the particle filter upstream temperature sensor (see
REFITTING
a Parts always to be replaced:
- the connecting hose seal on the catalytic pre-con-
- the connecting hose seal on the particle filter.
