ESCRIPTION
This command is entered in the Interface Configuration mode. This command
sets the PPP encapsulation on an interface.

EFAULT ALUE
The default encapsulation on a serial interface is HDLC.

ALU(config)# interface Serial1/0:0
ALU(config-if Serial1/0:0)# encapsulation ppp

NO DEBUG PPP

no debug ppp {echo|all}
The "no" command disables the debug functionality. By default, debug is
disabled.

NO ENCAPSULATION PPP

no encapsulation ppp
This command sets the encapsulation to its default, HDLC.

NO PPP AUTHENTICATION

no ppp authentication
The "no" command removes the authentication protocol for authenticating the
peer.
NO PPP AUTHENTICATION CLIENT

no ppp authentication client-password

The "no" command deletes the configured authentication password on the client
side.
NO PPP AUTHENTICATION CLIENT

no ppp authentication client-username

The "no" command deletes the configured authentication user name on the client
side.
