There can be more than one Compat folder in the RemoteClient directory. To
determine the correct folder, check the Feature Set version operating on the test set
that you want to add the WAV file to by selecting its System tab, choosing Misc, and
pointing to

3. After the WAV file has been added to the appropriate Compat folder, open the
Remote Client application.
4. From the System tab, select User Preference.
5. Select Alarm Beeper Status.
6. Select On or Maintenance. The Alarm Beep Definition dialog box appears.
7. Select an alarm type to display the Select All Alarms Sound dialog box. The new
WAV files appear in the dialog box. Only the first 16 sounds will appear in the
selection window. The sound files that appear use the WAV file's name.
8. Select the new WAV file and choose Apply.

Sending Email Alerts

Before using the email alert feature, check with your Network Administrator to verify that
your email account is set up to accept and forward SMTP mail.
Important: After the Email Alerts settings are completed, email notifications will only
be sent if the GUI is actively viewing either the All Tests Status window or the
protocol processor tab for which the Mail Notify setting has been configured. Email
alert messages will not be generated if these conditions are not met.
To set up email alerts:
1. Ensure the unit is connected via an Ethernet cable to your network; and it is
properly configured with a valid IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Router if
necessary.
2. From the System tab, select User Preference, and configure the following Mail
Notification settings.
