When a protocol processor's Transmit Clock Reference setting is set to BITS/SETS, the
external BITS or SETS timing source used by that processor is the one shown in the
External Clock In Status window.
At the bottom of the System tab > Misc screen, there is an External Clock In Status
window which displays the following information:
External Clock In
Status
Internal Reference
Pre-Locked
Locked
Loss of Lock

I/O Settings

The MPA unit can be remotely controller by a Graphical User Interface (GUI) and SCPI
script commands, via a wired Ethernet connection.
Description
Either the MCH does not support BITS/SETS
timing, or the MCH card is not configured for a
Chassis Clock setting.
Briefly displays as the MCH detects that an
External Clock has been connected to its RJ-
48 Clock port.
The MCH was successfully able to
synchronize to the External reference Clock
connected to the RJ-48 Clock port, and
verified that it matched the
setting.
Briefly displays when the MCH detects that
the External Clock was disconnected from the
RJ-48 Clock port.
The MCH will then revert back to Internal
Reference.
