Mapping

Mapping function is
not available when
the Interface shows

All currently licensed interface rates are displayed in the
Interface menu, regardless if the rates are actually supported
by the currently inserted laser modules or not.
Verify that the inserted laser module supports the desired
Interface rate prior to selecting it.
Constant LOS or LOF alarms may be present when an
unsupported Interface rate is selected or if the required laser
module is unplugged.
Not Assigned is displayed if one of the Interfaces listed
above is currently not selected.
Selects the type of signals that are expected in the OTN
receive signal.
Unframed BERT: Transmits an Unframed BERT
signal in the OTN frame.
SDH Synchronous: The Optical Channel Payload
Unit (OPU) of the OTN frame is synchronized with the
rest of the OTN frame, and the payload data is defined
by the configuration settings on the SDH tab.
SDH Asynchronous: The Optical Channel Payload
Unit (OPU) of the OTN frame is asynchronous with the
rest of the OTN frame, and the payload data is defined
by the configuration settings on the SDH tab.
SONET Synchronous: The Optical Channel Payload
Unit (OPU) of the OTN frame is synchronized with the
rest of the OTN frame, and the payload data is defined
by the configuration settings on the SONET tab.
SONET Asynchronous: The Optical Channel
Payload Unit (OPU) of the OTN frame is
asynchronous with the rest of the OTN frame, and the
payload data is defined by the configuration settings
on the SONET tab.
PRBS: Inserts a PRBS payload pattern into the OTN
frame.
Null Client: Inserts an All Zeros payload pattern into
the OTN frame.
