K2 Full Byte (Linear Mode)
This function configures the bit pattern of the K2 byte using either predefined or user
defined settings by individually setting the eight bits of the K2 byte using the touch
screen keypad.
The following options are available:
Options
Set to 00000000 Configures the K2 byte to 00000000 bit pattern.
Default
(10101010)
Illegal
(11111111)
User Defined
K2 Bits 1-4 (Linear Mode - SDH)
This function edits the first four bits of the K2 byte. In Linear mode, the first four bits
indicate which working channel is bridged onto the protection channel during a traffic
switching event.
The following options are available:

Description
Configures the K2 byte to 10101010 bit pattern.
Configures the K2 byte to 11111111 bit pattern.
Allows you to configure the bit pattern one bit
at a time using the touch screen keypad.
Description
Protection channel requesting switch action.
The protection channel is supplied with a signal
containing valid Transport Overhead for
carriage of the APS bytes and BIP-8, Bit
pattern 0000.
