LED Quick Status Area
(Specifically for GFP testing on the Packet tab)
The left side of the screen provides an at-a-glance view of the current protocol
processor's LEDs and Laser ON/Off button. The LEDs report incoming error and alarm
activity, current status, and event history to help narrow the focus if problems are
detected on the incoming signal and provide a starting point when trying to diagnose
problems..
This portion of the screen allows you to quickly scan and target potential problem areas.
The LED Quick Status Area contains the following areas:
Laser On/Off button: Enables you to turn the laser on and off. (only for optical
interfaces)
TX: Displays the maximum transmit data-rate for 100% TX bandwidth, based on
the mapping or VCG for the SONET, SDH or OTN Interface.
E/A: Indicates the current
status indicator.
Test Paused: This LED will turn Red if the
Any errors or alarms received while the test is paused will not be recorded in any
of the Results statistics.
Paused LED appears in the LEDs Quick Status area.
To resume a test:
Select Resume Test.
The Test Paused LED turns white with red text,
indicating that the test was paused earlier.
Events occurring while in Pause mode will not be
recorded in the Results Errors/Alarms screens, Event
Log nor Performance Monitoring screens, however the
corresponding event's LED will still turn red.
Pressing Clear History or Restarting a new test will
clear all LED history.
