Select ODU-0 Added from Transmit > SET 1 screen, to configure which one of
the ODU-0 payloads will be configured for the specified ODU-0 mapping.
Select ODU-0 Dropped from Receive > SET 1 screen, to configure which one of
the ODU-0 payloads to test. The information contained in the other ODU-0
payloads will be discarded.
OTN TX Wavelengths and RX Optical Power Measurements
The OTN protocol processor utilizes hot-swappable laser technology, which are
equipped with their own internal digital diagnostics tools. The internal diagnostics of
these modules provide the transmit laser wavelength, and are capable of measuring the
received optical power levels.
TX: Indicates current OTN transmit interface wavelength.
Wavelengths are laser module specific. To change the wavelength, simply hot-
swap the laser module.
WARNING: Always turn the TX Laser off before hot-swapping laser modules.
When the laser module has been removed after an OTN interface was selected,
"No Laser" will be displayed.
When the laser module is hot-swapped, the laser's transmit wavelength will
automatically update for the new module.
If a non-OTN interface is selected from one of the other tabs, then "Not Assigned"
will be displayed.
RX: Displays the received optical power in dBm.
This status indicator will flash when the received optical power level exceeds the
laser's Power Warm or Power Hot thresholds. See
and Power Low Alarms
When the laser module has been removed after an OTN interface was selected,
"Missing Laser" will be displayed.
This information is then fed to the user interface, and is displayed on the LED Quick
Status Area just below the Laser button.
