MLD LEDs
When the MLD protocol processor tab is selected, the following status indicators and
LEDs are displayed in the
LED
LOS
HighBER
HighSER
FECLOA
LOA
TRANS
Lane Details
LED Quick Status Area
Description
Loss of Signal. A Red LED indicates an LOS alarm
condition exists on one or more Optical Lanes.
If no signal or an all-zeros pattern exists for 100 milliseconds
or longer on an incoming Optical Lane, then an LOS alarm is
reported for that Lane, and the LOS status LED turns Red.
High Block Error Rate. Indicates that the MLD is receiving
High Block Error Rate errors.
High Symbol Error Ratio. Indicates that the MLD is
receiving High Symbol Error Ratio errors.
FEC Loss of Alignment .Indicates that the MLD is receiving
a FEC Loss of Alignment alarm.
Loss of Alignment. Indicates that the MLD has a loss of
lane alignment and cannot de-skew the lanes relative to one
another.
Transcoded Error. Indicates that the MLD is receiving FEC
Correctable Transcoded Errors
Lane Status LED. Indicates if any of the errors or alarms
supported by the virtual Logic/PCS lanes are being received.
