RFC Tests - Configuration (Conf)
(Specifically for Fibre Channel SAN testing on the Packet tab)
RFC testing provides a specific set of tests that can be used to measure and report the
performance characteristics of network devices. The RFC Tests Conf screen provides
the preliminary stream configuration settings. After these settings are made the user
selects the type of RFC test to initiate by choosing its tab along the left side of the RFC
Tests screen.
The following options appear on the Conf screen:

Description
For Fibre Channel, the only Performance Test option
supported is RFC-2544.
If this button is disabled, then only the selected
Performance Standard Test is currently available.
The destination Port setting is not supported on the MPA.
Determines how long the test runs for each packet size. This
duration is used each time the test fails. Valid duration values
are 1-86400 seconds. The default value is 60 seconds.
Allows the user to select one of the four streams for the RFC
test.
Reflects the destination WWN address for the Fibre Channel
Stream.
The
WWN Dest Address
Stream ID from the Traffic Stream Profile on the Conf screen.
Returns frame sizes to default RFC test standards when user-
defined sizes have been set.
