SONET TCM Summary LED
The TCM summary LED indicates if a TCM error or alarm has been detected.
TCM (Tandem Connection Monitoring) is disabled by default, and must be enabled in
order to test for TCM errors and alarms. For SONET processors, the TC Overhead
Processing setting can be Enabled from the Transmit > SET > SET 2 screen. If the
SONET processor is configured for a VT Mapping, then the TC Overhead Processing
menu will allow you to choose between Path Enable or VT Enable.
Quick Status Area LED's that are underlined are "Summary Status" LEDs and can be
selected to display a summary pop-up window to show the individual LEDs, and
sometimes error/alarm statistics, related to that status LED.
If the TCM LED is red, select the "TCM" text to display to display a detailed LED
window with all of the SONET TCM errors and alarms.
The SONET TC LEDs window appears in the center of the screen.
