6. Enter the correct WWN Source and Destination addresses, Destination ID
(D_ID), and Source ID (S_ID) addresses. These will be network dependent.
Important: The MPA's WWN Source/Destination Addresses must not be
configured as All Zeros.
The Destination WWN address and ID number must match the Source WWN
address and ID number from the Fibre Channel SAN Switch.
7. Also, configure the correct Buffer to Buffer Credits, Data Rate, Frame Length,
and Payload test pattern.
8. Select the Save All button to save the entered test stream parameters, then
select the Exit button.
9. Verify the test stream is TX is set to Off before continuing. The required Fabric
and Name Server login options are not available while the test stream is enabled.
10. Select the Fabric Login button to perform a Fabric Login.
The Fabric Login status will display "Waiting for Response" while it attempts
to login to the SAN equipment
The Fabric Login status will display "Logged In" when the process
completes
11. Select the Name Server Login button to perform a Name Server Login.
The Name Server Login status will display "Waiting for Response" while it
attempts to login to the SAN equipment
The Name Server Login status will display "Logged In" when the process
completes
12. At this point the Fibre Channel test interface will have a valid Fabric and Name
Server login with the SAN equipment, and the test stream can be enabled.
13. Select the On/Off button labelled 1 to the left of the stream to turn on stream
traffic generation.
14. Fibre Channel verification statistics may now be observed.
